The Crime Branch of Tripura police submitted a charge sheet against some former top officials of the PWD over their alleged involvement in a construction scam.
The Crime Branch arrested Alak Ranjan Roy Choudhury, former PWD Additional Chief Engineer, one of the accused. A court sent him to judicial custody till October 11. Two former chief engineers and three senior officials are charged with accepting bribe.
