Indrani Mukerjea's ex husband Sanjeev Khanna, accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, is led away from the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate’s court in Mumbai on Monday.

A Mumbai Police team on Wednesday seized a laptop and papers related to bank accounts and investments of Indrani Mukerjea’s former husband and co-accused Sanjeev Khanna in the Sheena Bora murder case from his residence in the southern part of the city.

According to a senior officer of Kolkata Police, the team from Mumbai Police, along with a team from the city police, visited Mr. Khanna’s residence in Hastings area on Wednesday morning and seized his laptop as part of their probe into the murder mystery.

He said the Mumbai Police team also seized papers related to Mr. Khanna’s bank accounts and investments.

“They (Mumbai Police) asked for our help in getting Khanna’s laptop. We only assisted them in that and we have no clue about the investigation into the case,” the officer said.

A Kolkata Police source said that for seizing the laptop, the team required a “search warrant” without which they would not have been able to get into Mr. Khanna’s house and hence, the assistance of the local police was needed.

It was also learnt that the Mumbai Police was also trying to talk to Siddharth Das, who claimed to be Sheena Bora’s biological father.
