Corporation sees better results

Coimbatore Corporation too has seen improved results this time and it has bettered the district performance in the higher secondary examinations.

According to a release from the civic body, the pass percentage this year is 91.80. As in the past, this year too more girls have cleared the examinations - 94.03 per cent of girls, and 86.94 per cent of the boys.

The release says that of the 16 higher secondary schools, the one in Peelamedu has the distinction of all its students clearing the examination. The school has repeated the feat this year. The Corporation Higher Secondary School in R.S. Puram has recorded the poorest performance as only 69.72 per cent of the students have passed.

Nine students have scored 200 out of 200 in accountancy, 38 in commerce, four in economics and two in business maths.
