A 21-year-old college student on Wednesday slit the neck and hands of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, reportedly under the influence of ganja, in Puzhal. The child has been admitted to the Egmore Children’s Hospital.

On Wednesday, Akshay Raj came home and found his house locked. Under the influence of ganja, he went to the neighbour’s house to get the keys. However, when they said they didn’t have the keys, in a fit of rage, he snatched the child and slit his neck and cut his hands. The police are searching for Raj.
