Youth found murdered near Tambaram

A youth, who went missing 10 days ago from his house in Kundrathur, was found hacked to death and his body lying in a bush in Varadharajapuram near Tambaram on Wednesday.

Police identified the deceased as Deepak Raj, 25. He was working in a petrol bunk and living with his family in Pazhanthandalam.

His father Baskar lodged a police complaint that his son who had gone to attend a marriage on April 15 did not return home. While the investigation was under way, the police personnel found the body of a youth with indiscriminate stab marks in a bush at Varadharajapuram. The Somangalam have registered a case and are investigating the motive behind murder.
