The Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross is organising a 10-day workshop on wheelchair basketball from September 4 to 14 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
The goal of the workshop is to train the first set of classifiers, coaches, referees and players for the long-term development of the sport in India. It will have courses for classifiers, coaches, referees and a workshop for professional players. Jess Markt, a renowned wheelchair basketball coach from the United States, will conduct the training.
