The alumni of Vidyodaya Schools, T. Nagar, donated ₹1.5 lakh towards the school fund for education of underprivileged children.

The Class of 1969 will meet for the first time to celebrate their golden jubilee year at the school on January 26. So far, about 40 alumni of the batch have come together. Sudha Ramalingam, senior advocate, said the funds were handed over to the school’s correspondent Nandita Krishnan recently. There are also plans to bring out a booklet with profiles of the Class of 1969.

“We found classmates through social media groups. We also found five of our teachers, who taught math and music. The handbook will have messages from them,” she said. The handbook will be released on January 26.

Alumni who want to attend, can get in touch with R. Geetha (9840260893).
