Two run over by suburban train at Chetpet

Two persons were run over by a suburban train when they were trying to cross the tracks near the Chetpet Railway station on Thursday.

According to the police, the two bodies were found on the tracks between Egmore and Chetpet Railway Station around 8.30 a.m. The Government Railway Police (GRP), Egmore, were informed about the incident.

The GRP inspector Roja visited the spot and started investigation.

The names of the victims were given as Munivel, 23, a daily wage earner, and Kishore Kumar, 27, a delivery boy. Further investigation is on.
