Training programme organised for micro observers

The Chennai Corporation on Thursday organised training programme for micro observers appointed for counting of votes.

Addressing mediapersons on the sidelines of the training session, Chennai Corporation Commissioner and District Election Officer D. Karthikeyan said a total of 210 micro observers have been appointed for monitoring the counting on Friday.

Counting in every table would be carried out by a counting supervisor and counting assistant.

The micro observers would be present in each of 210 tables for monitoring the counting process.

The three counting centres in Chennai are College of Engineering Guindy, Loyola College and Queen Mary's College.

The training programme for counting personnel was conducted on Wednesday.

The results of 16 Assembly constituencies in the district would be declared by 5 p.m.
