Top Corporation officials transferred

The State government on Friday transferred five key officials of the Chennai Corporation. A. Annadurai, zonal officer, Chennai Corporation, has been posted as its Regional Deputy Commissioner (South).

T. Anand, Deputy Commissioner (Health), has been posted as Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

R. Kannan, District Revenue Officer (Land and Estates), is the new Deputy Commissioner (Health).

The services of R. Anandakumar, Regional Joint Commissioner (South), Chennai Corporation, have been placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency for appointment as its executive director.

S. Senthamarai, District Revenue Officer (Elections), has been transferred and posted as additional director of Agriculture.

New initiatives pertaining to public health and town planning are likely to receive priority to tackle civic challenges after new officials take charge in the Chennai Corporation. A few issues relating to planning permission for building projects reportedly cropped up in the south Chennai region recently.

M. Asia Mariam, secretary-cum-general manager, TWAD Board, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration. S. Natarajan, additional director, Medical and Rural Health Services, is additional director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. A. Sivagnanam, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Public (Elections) Department, has been posted as Joint Chief Electoral Officer (SVEEP) Public (Elections) Department.

The services of L. Nirmalraj, General Manager, Tamil Nadu Ex-servicemen’s Corporation (TEXCO), are placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for appointment as its Joint Managing Director.
