Tamil Nationalist dead

Ki.Tha. Pachaiyappan, a Tamil scholar and retired Head Master died of heart attack on a court campus in Chennai on Thursday.

Mr. Pachaiappan, 85, a native of Puducherry, suffered a heart attack when he came to Small Causes Court campus in the Madras High Court complex.

Accompanied by his son Tholkappian, Pachaiappan reached court campus in connection with a civil dispute. He was directed to appear before the court in person. While waiting on the campus, he suffered a heart attack and collapsed. Pachaiappan was rushed to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in an ambulance. However, the doctors declare him ‘brought dead.’ The scholar fought against French yoke and in support of Eezham Tamils. PMK founder S. Ramadoss, MDMK leader Vaiko and VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan condoled his death.
