The Guindy police on Monday caught two suspects — a student of a city college and another student pursuing chartered accountancy — for snatching a mobile phone from the staff of a mobile phone service provider near Ekkattuthangal.

When Jebin Mosak, 32, of Jafferkhanpet, was waiting at Ekkatuthangal to board a bus, a duo snatched his mobile phone and fled. An alert member of the public managed to nab the pillion rider and handed him over to the police. The police have arrested his accomplice and recovered the mobile phone from him.
