As many as 1,300 students participated in the speed science quiz conducted by The HinduIn School in association with BPCL.
The quiz was held for students from Chennai and Puducherry schools at SBOA School in Anna Nagar.
The junior category saw participation from 245 teams. Sanjana Bhat and Krishangh Arjun from PSBB Senior Secondary School, T. Nagar, won the first place.
Teams from Manthan Vidyashram, Kottivakkam, and National Public School, Gopalapuram, were adjudged second and third respectively.
In the senior category, amongst 374 teams, the team comprising of R. Srivats and Shrivats Gopal from PSBB Senior Secondary School, T. Nagar, won the first place. A team from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar and PSBB Senior Secondary School, K.K. Nagar won the second and third place respectively.
Madhusudhana Rao, general manager, Retail Initiatives from BPCL South, distributed prizes.
Arvind and team from XQuizit conducted the quiz. The event was managed by NEvents.
