Sadiq Basha’s wife receives ‘death threat’

The Nungambakkam police have taken up investigation following a complaint from S. Rehabanu, wife of Sadiq Basha, an associate of former Union Minister A. Raja, that she had received a death threat through an anonymous letter. Sadiq Basha ended his life in 2011 after he was investigated for his alleged involvement in the 2G scam. Ms. Rehabanu sent representation to the Presidentseeking re-investigation of his death.

She recently alleged that she and her brother were attacked on 19 March while they were travelling in a car near Pallikaranai.The police took her complaint and provided security at her residence.
