Pasumai Thayagam’s booklets distributed to residents

Pasumai Thayagam, a non-governmental organisation in the area of environment protection, and affiliated to the Pattali Makkal Katchi, has been distributing booklets to residents about the need for new infrastructure development in the city.

M. Jayaraman of the PMK said the booklet recalls the history of the city dating back to more than 100 years and brings into focus the human and economic losses caused by the recent flooding due to encroachment of water bodies and canals. The booklet also stresses on the need for infrastructure development to make it truly a ‘Greater Chennai’. The booklet was distributed in more than 40 places including Anna Nagar Tower Block, Radisson Park in Royapuram, My Lady’s Park, Ashok Nagar 11th Avenue, Anna University and Marina, Besant Nagar and Tiruvanmiyur beaches.
