Papanasam trailer adds to Kamal fans’ frenzy

May 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - CHENNAI:

Even as the State is waiting to watch actor Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited Uttama Villain on May 1, the trailer of his next release, Papanasam , a remake of the Malayalam superhit, Drishyam, made its way on social media, adding to the frenzy online.

While there were doubts whether the Tamil remake can retain the simplicity of the Malayalam original, the trailer featuring the actor speaking Tamil in an accent predominantly used in Tirunelveli district, was well-received by fans.

The film also features actor Gautami Tadimala in the lead role.

Kamal Haasan, who has two other movies lined up for release, has already moved onto his next, supposedly an action film, which will be shot majorly in Mauritius.

The fans are kicked about the fact that at least three movies of Kamal Haasan are expected to release this year.
