The University Students Advisory Bureau (USAB) of the University of Madras organised a career and placement fair for arts and science undergraduate and post-graduate students.

The first day of the two-day fair on Saturday, saw over 900 students participating and attending sessions on skill development and placement oriented training. Experts spoke on communication skills and body language.

“The USAB has been organising such career fairs twice every year and the main aim is to equip students of the arts and science streams with skill development as well as current trends, technological advancements and general awareness about the opportunities available,” said M. Sakthivel, Director in Charge, USAB.

He said more students were expected to attend the fair on Sunday, as many had registered online in advance for the same. The fair also saw the participation of around 45 recruiters.
