A total of 51,990 candidates have been admitted at the end of the fourth round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission’s online counselling process. Of the 78,169 eligible candidates, who participated in the process, only 55,730 candidates reached the stage of tentative allotment, according to a TNEA release.
Classes for students admitted to Anna University and its constituent colleges began on Monday.
Counselling for MBBS
In the second phase of counselling for medical seats in the State that ended on Monday, all the 128 MBBS seats in government medical colleges; 113 seats in self-financing colleges under government quota and 27 seats in Government Dental College were filled, said selection committee secretary, G. Selvarajan.
The notification on the State medical education website stated that no seats were available in “government medical /self financing medical Colleges/ESIC KK Nagar/Rajah Muthiah Medical Colleges and Government Dental College.”
There will be a mop up round for seats if students do not join, Dr. Selvarajan added. The date for filling up government quota and management quota dental seats in self-financing colleges will be announced shortly, he said.
