Orientation session held

June 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - CHENNAI:

ELS Educational Services organised an orientation session for students who wish to pursue higher education abroad recently.

Madhu Velayudhan, territory manager of ELS Tamil Nadu, said they conduct such sessions once a month and give students insights into what they need to do if they wish to pursue their higher education abroad.

These sessions are conducted at various colleges in the city. “We help them with choosing the right programme and the university. We also guide them on visa and admission procedures,” he added.

He said they have had over 500 students for the past four years.

Mr. Velayudhan noted that though the intention of students who go there to study should be to come back and work here, most often they don’t. “Majority of the students stay back after the course. This is primarily because the job market is quite good there,” he added.
