Threesixtyone Degree Minds, an online learning platform, is introducing online courses on design. In a press note, the platform stated that the Central government’s proposal to make cities smart required integration of technology. For smart cities to be accessible and friendly, it is imperative that new visitors can make their way without them requiring help. The courses aim to address this lacunae, the release noted.

The organisation has tied up with the Open University of the United Kingdom to offer two certificate courses — Design for Engineers and Business Management. The courses would be for a year and offered to students in the third and fourth year of engineering.

The course has been designed specifically for adult learning, said Steve Hill, external engagement director at the University.

“Each course has a life cycle of six to seven years. The Design for Engineers course is offered in 142 countries,” he added.

C.P. Gopinath, co-founder, Threesixtyone Degree Minds, said, “We will be delivering these courses to thousands of Indian students who are looking for quality content and valuable certification, even while gaining market-relevant competencies and employability skills.”
