Modi only imposed RSS, Sanskrit on people: Stalin

Says BJP is supporting ‘corrupt’ AIADMK

DMK president M.K. Stalin on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done nothing for the State, and had only imposed the RSS and Sanskrit on the people.

He was speaking at his ‘Ooratchi Sabhai’ meeting in Harur, which was attended by residents of Mookanur village from the Paapireddypatty Assembly constituency.

Mr. Stalin accused Mr. Modi of seeking to back the “corrupt” AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu. Referring to the Prime Minister’s recent statement in Madurai that Tamil Nadu was a forerunner in industrial growth, the DMK leader said this was falsehood, but one need not be surprised at the Prime Minister making such endorsements.

“Mr. Modi made several promises before being elected including that ₹15 lakh would be deposited into every citizen’s bank account by bringing back black money. But he had not managed to deposit even ₹15 into our accounts,” he said.

The general elections would inevitably be followed by Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, he said, reiterating his accusation that the AIADMK government was a “benami” of the Central government.

Earlier, interacting with women, Mr.Stalin urged his party cadres to gear up for the elections and meet the voters at their door step to get a pulse of their needs, besides highlighting the achievements of the former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
