MIOT marks Founder’s Day

The 20th Founder's Day of MIOT International was celebrated on Tuesday when a special initiative encapsulating the hospital's vision for 2020 was unveiled.

Among the salient features of the initiative are neighbourhood outreach programmes and focus on alleviation of treatment anxieties.

The Chief Guest, Yogesh Punja, High Commissioner of Fiji to India, recognised the efforts of all the staff at the hospital for its success and urged them to keep up the same in the coming years.

“For us in the Pacific, education and healthcare are two main areas of focus and MIOT has been working with us to ensure affordable and accessible healthcare,” he added.

Stating that while it was easy to get modern technology as well as a large body of staff, Prithvi Mohandas, Managing Director of MIOT International, said that the hospital had striven to ensure that they took care of the patients and visitors and would continue doing so for the years to come.

As a part of the event, Shankar Balakrishnan, Interventional neurologist, spoke about the developments in neurology and K. Jaishankar, Director and Mentor, Cardiology and Electrophysiology spoke about simplifying cardiac treatment.

Emphasizing on the joy of healing, Mallika Mohandas, Chairman of MIOT International, said that this principle had inspired everyone associated with the hospital to do better which had contributed to their journey.
