Man held for cheating job aspirants


The Job Racket wing of the Central Crime Branch arrested M. Dipakaran, a resident of Zamin Pallavaram, for cheating job aspirants on Tuesday.

A police officialsaid Dipakaran had collected Rs. 32 lakh from various people after assuring them of jobs in the railway department.

A native of Thoothukudi district, he was running a travel agency in Maraimalai Nagar. Dipakaran, who was facing financial troubles, hatched a plan to cheat people by promising them jobs in government departments. He met a parish priest, who introduced him to several job aspirants in Kaikilthangal village in Tiruvannamalai district.
