A 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing minor boys at a playground in M.G.R. Nagar police station limits.
The accused was identified as M. Gopikannan, 32, of Manapakkam. The police said that for nearly a month the accused had been sexually harassing a group of teenaged boys under the pretext of coaching them in athletics.
The issue came to light when one of the victims, a 13-year-old boy, informed his father about this. The parent lodged a complaint based on which the police arrested Gopikannan. The accused was remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday.
