The Chennai Corporation has warned that action would be taken against schools that refuse to send teachers for census operations.
According to a press release, 10 schools in the city have been issued show-cause notices for preventing teachers from participating in census operations 2011.
The press release said that action would be taken against such schools and enumerators, after invoking the provisions of the Census Act, 1948.
