Asserting that the DMK-Congress alliance in the State was strong, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee on Friday sought to remind its leaders and workers of the gag order issued against speaking about it in public.

“The Congress-DMK ties are strong and none can weaken it. All efforts will be taken to ensure the ties remained cordial and alliance strong,” TNCC president K.V. Thangkabalu told reporters here.

He was responding to DMK president and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s warning over his party colleague E.V.K.S. Elangovan’s remarks against the DMK government.

Thangkabalu recalled that he had recently asked his partymen not to speak about alliances in public as none were authorised to do so.
