“Decision to expel me made without proper enquiry”

Former minister S. Muthusamy, who was expelled from primary membership of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Saturday, said that he would announce his next course of action within three to four days after consulting his supporters.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, Mr. Muthusamy said that the gap between the AIADMK leadership and the cadre had widened in the recent past. There was no proper forum in the party to hear the grievances of the functionaries. “The decision to expel me was made without a proper enquiry,” he said.

“The party high command has not made any attempt to sort out the differences of opinion between me and senior leader Sengottaiyan. I was sidelined for the past 15 years,” he said. Sources close to Mr. Muthusamy said that he was likely to join the DMK.
