The Income Tax (I-T) Department continued its search operations at eatery chains including Grand Sweets, Anjappar, Hot Breads and Saravana Bhavan.

A senior I-T official from the investigations department said that the raids would continue on Saturday too.

“We have temporarily suspended the searches but we will continue the operations on Saturday,” the official said on Friday.

When asked whether any documents or details were found during the searches, the official said that he will be able to provide details only when the raids conclude. The I-T officials searched the eatery chains on suspicion of tax evasion.
