DMK treasurer M.K.Stalin sought to play down the discussion on his dress code during first round of Namakku Naamey programme, saying he always liked to attire in colourful clothes.
“I wear white dhoties and shirts while attending party function. Other times I love to dress colourfully,” said Mr. Stalin who arrived in Chennai on Saturday.
He said as he had to meet and converse with youths and students the dress coded helped to strike a chord with them.
“I had to walk throughout the programme and pants and shirts were very comfortable,” he said, adding that he had covered 74 constituencies so far.
