Gnani’s body donated


Four years ago, when Gnani turned 60, he decided that his body should be donated to a hospital after his death.

In deference to his wish, the journalist’s body was handed over to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital Medical College on Monday evening.

On the day Gnani announced his decision, 10 others too had pledged to donate their bodies, recalled N. Meenakshisundaram, a long-time friend of Gnani and one among the 10 persons.

His eyes were donated to Sankara Nethralaya.
