Gang of highway robbers nabbed

It had targeted former MP from Tamil Nadu

The Kuppam police on Wednesday nabbed a 12-member gang allegedly responsible for robbing a former MP’s family members bound for Tirumala, within 48 hours of the crime, and recovered ₹20 lakh and seized two SUVs used for commission of the crime.

A five-member family of a former Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu, U.R. Krishnan, was on its way to Tirumala via Kuppam on November 27.
