As the installation of the new office-bearers of the Lions Club comes up, the continuity of current projects and dedication to the service path that is the bedrock of the institution would be the key area of focus. K.S.Babai, who headed the District 324-A1 as its governor between July 2017 and June 2018, says there were three thrust areas during her term: healthcare, education and environment. The Club raised a ₹4 crore donation for the Cancer Institute and the Club has planned to procure a robotic arm for Institute’s radiology department.

Funds were collected for constructing buildings for 15 Single Teacher Schools. Two buildings have been completed in Vadathur and Karayanmedu villages in Thiruvallur district. The buildings were inaugurated by the International President Naresh Aggarwal. She assured that the rest of the buildings were in various stages of construction and the work would be completed in due course.

The renovation of the Lions children’s park and construction of the commemorative centennial arch and pillar were among the projects that were executed. She claimed that the Clubs in the District have done service projects worth ₹17.8 crore and the net membership grew to over 650 members, during her term.

She was honoured with the Presidential Medal for her services and will serve as treasurer for Multiple District 324-A1 for 2018-2019.
