A group of specialists — spanning a range of specialities from general medicine to cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology to ophthalmology — have come together to launch a family clinic in Nungambakkam. V. Ramasubramanian, specialising in infectious diseases, said the aim was to provide outpatient services and not make the patients wait long hours for doctors. Appointments can be made online or by calling the Capstone Clinic, which works from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Consultations begin at 8 a.m. and laboratory services such as blood tests begin at 7 a.m.
The clinic also offers dentistry services - from paediatric dentistry to periodontics and prosthodontics. Specialities covered include cardiology, dermatology, ENT, gastroenterology, general medicine and diabetology, infectious diseases neurology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, psychology, radiology and rheumatology. A portion of the proceeds would go to fund an NGO, Youth Foundation, which helps in the higher education of underprivileged students, Dr. Ramasubramanian said.
