The Pazhavanthangal police nabbed two persons who snatched a 9-sovereign gold chain from a woman in Pazhavanthangal on Wednesday.
Using CCTV footage, the police nabbed V. Dinesh, 31, an electrician from Puzhuthivakkam and M. Ganeshkumar, 26, of Maduravoyal, who snatched the ‘Mangalsutra’ from Jayalakshmi Rajan, 67, of VOC Nagar, Nanganallur.
In broad daylight, the duo snatched her chain on the SBI Colony Road when she was returning home from a shop. The footage showed a youth walking behind her, snatching her chain and flee on a bike with his accomplice. The police recovered the gold chain and the bike they used. Both were remanded in judicial custody.
