Doctor gets community service award in the U.S.

The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) has presented its Community Service Award to T.S. Chandrasekar, chairman and chief interventional gastroenterologist, MedIndia Hospitals.

Sunanda V. Kane, president of ACG, presented the award to the doctor during the annual scientific meeting held in USA on October 26.

The award is given to a member, who has initiated or has been involved in numerous volunteer programmes/activities or has provided significant volunteer service, a press release said.
