The 67th birth anniversary of the late actor, writer and theatre personality Crazy Mohan will be observed on Wednesday with a Carnatic music concert at Vani Mahal, T. Nagar.

The concert of vocalist Gayathri Girish will be based on the actor’s Ramanayanam, a Tamil Venba creation on Bhagawan Sri Ramana Maharishi. The chosen poems from this collection have been tuned by musician Rajkumar Bharathi. S. B. Khanthan, the creative director of Crazy Creations, will anchor the show and provide insights into Crazy Mohan’s prowess for writing Tamil poetry.

The event, being organised by Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, is open to all, said a press release here.

Actor Crazy Balaji said that his brother had penned 240 poems about Ramana Mahirishi in just 4 -5 days. “He has written around 60,000 poems on various deities. Every year we plan to organise an event on his birth anniversary, October 16, during which an artist would be honoured. This year, Ms. Girish would be honoured by Crazy Creations. In January, we plan to hold an exhibition of his paintings,” he said.
