Concerts at new hall on ACJ campus

Media Development Foundation is organising two Carnatic music concerts on October 20 and 21 on Asian College of Journalism campus in Taramani. The concerts will be organised to mark the inauguration of M.S.Subbulakshmi Auditorium, which is acoustically designed for performances without microphones.

The first concert will be presented by Carnatic singer Aruna Sairam accompanied by R. K. Shriramkumar (Violin), J. Vaidhyanathan (Mridangam) and S. V. Ramani (Ghatam) on October 20 at 6 p.m. The following day at 6 p.m., rasikas could listen to classical musician Ramakrishna Murthy accompanied by Charumati Raghuraman (Violin), N.C. Bharadwaj (Mridangam) and N. Guruprasad (Ghatam).

The auditorium will help rediscover the pristine quality of the voice and musical instruments.
