However, most parts of Chennai may not be fortunate to receive another spell of rain. On Friday, several areas received rainfall varying between 9 cm to 3 cm in a few hours overnight.
Weather stations in Kelambakkam, Ponneri and Ennore received between 9 cm and 7 cm of rainfall during the past 24 hours till Saturday morning.
