The commentary on Alavandar’s Agama Pramanyam by Sri Navalpakkam Satakopa Ramanuja Tatacharya Swami was released by Srimushnam Srimad Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan during the founder’s day celebration of Sri Ahobila Math Oriental Higher Secondary School, West Mambalam. Srimad Andavan also donated Rs.7550 to the school in addition to his early endowment of Rs.48,000.

Hailing the founder of the school, Sri Srivan Satagopa Veeraraghava Satakopan Yateendra Mahadesikan, for his selfless services, Srimad Andavan said he had established eight Oriental Schools in Tamil Nadu with the aim of imparting Sanskrit knowledge along with regular academic education to students.

A cash prize of Rs.1000 each was given away to students who stood first in Veda and Prabanda competitions held earlier.

R. Rajagopalan, proprietor, Eyetex, presented a cheque of Rs. 50,000 to the school for the propagation of Veda and Prabanda.

Earlier, Vasudevachariar, correspondent, welcomed the gathering. Isai Kalaimani P.T. Seshadri rendered the prayer song and the function ended with Srimad Andavan offering Mantrakshada to the students and the public.
