Booking a taxi in the city with a smart phone is pretty simple with a number of taxi operators coming with their own apps. But what happens when the promised vehicle from your regular operator does not turn up? Scampering for another operator’s app or number can be taxing.
A new app — Callzila — that has been launched in the city seeks to address this very problem. P. Magesh Kumar, managing director, Calibsoft Technology, which launched the product, said the mobile app operating on an Android platform is a one-stop shop for transport needs with the company having tied up with more than 20 taxi operators and two big call auto services, Namma Auto and Auto Raja.
Customers who have installed this app can book a vehicle online or offline by phone at 40254025.
The mobile application aims to bring several services under one umbrella, including medical and cosmetic treatment in the neighbourhood and will also offer details on car sharing and car pooling.
At present, the app is available on Google’s Playstore and the company proposes to launch the app on the iOS and Windows platforms by the end of the year.
