Celebrating 40 years of Japanese School

The Japanese School Educational Trust (JSET) in Chennai organised a ceremony recently to commemorate their 40{+t}{+h}anniversary.

Looking back

JSET, which was called The Japanese Class of Madras, was started in June 1975 by the Japanese Association in Chennai to help Japanese children transfer back smoothly to their schools when they returned home, said a press release.

At the anniversary celebrations, over 100 parents, teachers, and principals of the American International School and Japanese residents staying in Chennai participated.

Masanori Nakano, then Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, was the chief guest.
