People should not be restricted from speaking or using any language, Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali said here on Sunday.
He was speaking at a function organised by Satyasheelta Gyanalaya, a voluntary organisation. Mr. Ali said citizens have a right to learn the language of their choice and consume any kind of food. He appealed to the people to respect and appreciate the beliefs and feelings of followers of other religions. It is essential to promote peace among the citizens.
He honoured poets and artists who participated in the programme, ‘The Role of Hindi in the context of globalisation.’ The organisation’s president, H. Balasubramanian also spoke.
