A four-year-old child was killed after he came under the wheels of a sand-laden lorry in Padur on Rajiv Gandhi Salai. On Wednesday morning, Praveen Rithwik was travelling with his grandfather Thiyagarajan and mother Padmini to his play school in a two-wheeler. En route Mr. Thiyagarajan lost control of the vehicle and the trio fell. While Rithwik died on the spot, Mr. Thiyagarajan and Ms. Padmini sustained injuries.
The Kelambakkam police have arrested the lorry driver.
