: St. Joseph’s College of Engineering will conduct an all-India invitation ball badminton championship at the college premises from July 22 to 24 for men. The tournament will feature 17 teams from across the country.
The total prize money is Rs. 1 lakh with the winner taking home Rs. 40,000, the runner-up Rs. 30,000. The third and fourth-placed teams will receive Rs. 20,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively.
The teams in the fray are Southern Railway, ICF, East Coast Railway, Western Railway, Hathway, Hyderabad, Bharath Dynamic, Hyderabad, Canara Bank, Bangalore, Central Railway, IOB, South Central Railway, Muthappa Club, Pathi Fives, South Eastern Railway, Karnataka Power Corporation, Kerala and host St. Joseph’s.
Dr. Babu Manoharan, will inaugurate the tournament.
