The police have arrested one more person in connection with the assault on two people over a fight for seats during the fan show screening of Ajith Kumar starrer Viswasam at a theatre in Vellore recently.
According to the police, V. Prasath, 20, and his relative, Ramesh, 30, were attacked on Thursday with sharp objects during the screening. The duo had gone to see the 2.30 a.m. show when the quarrel broke out.
The four-member gang attacked the two with sharp weapons. The police were deployed inside the theatre after the incident.
The victims were admitted to the Government Vellore Medical College and Hospital (GVMCH) with injuries. On Saturday, Venkataraman, was arrested in connection with the assault.
On Sunday, Prathap was arrested. The police are searching for the other two.
