Dawn Williams, general manager of Blue Cross of India, said, on Thursday evening, they were alerted by residents about a group of men that was shooting down dogs in Pallanchery.
A team of Blue Cross volunteers reached the place around 5 p.m. and saw the men killing the dogs and dragging the carcasses away on motorcycles. The volunteers informed the Guduvanchery police and two men involved in the act, Muthusami and Chinnakannu, were arrested. Another person is absconding.
