The State government on Tuesday effected a shuffle among IPS officers with the shifting of the incumbent Additional Commissioners of Chennai city — M.C. Sarangan and H.M. Jayaram and Inspector of General (IG), North Zone, C. Sridhar to other posts.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Special Officer of Tamil Nadu Police Transport Corporation has been transferred and posted in the wing of Social Justice and Human Rights, Chennai. The ADGP Su. Arunachalam, Special Officer, Refugees Camp at Mandapam, Ramanathapuram, was transferred and posted in TN Police Transport Corporation.
IG North Zone C. Sridhar was shifted to Crime Branch CID, Chennai and in his place, IG Training P.Nagarajan, has been posted. The IG Crime CID, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, becomes the Additional Commissioner of Police, South, while its present incumbent M.C. Sarangan is posted as IG, Headquarters.
Likewise, IG, Establishment R. Dhinakaran becomes the Additional Commissioner of Police, North, and its present incumbent H.M. Jayaram has been shifted and posted as IG, Establishment. IG Crime Records Bureau Sumit Saran has been posted as IG, Enforcement.
H. Jayalakshmi, Superintendent of Police, Western Range Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai, was transferred and posted as SP, Commercial Crime Investigation Wing CID while Pakerla Cephas Kalyan was posted in her place.
Deputy Commissioner of Police P. Thangadurai was shifted from Crime and Traffic, Salem City, and posted as DC, Law and Order. The DC G. Subbalakshmi of Salem city was transferred and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights, Chennai. M. Vijayalakshmi was posted as SP, Tamil Nadu Commando, Chennai. P.R. Venmathi was posted as Commandant, TN Special Police, Avadi while Vandita Pandey and C. Shyamala Devi have been transferred from their posts and posted as SP, Central Investigation Unit, Prohibition Offences and Deputy Commissioner, Crime and Traffic, Salem City.
Immediate effect
In a note, Niranjan Mardi, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) said the transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect.
