Actor's directorial debut finally seeing the light of day

After a prolonged delay owing to financial and other issues, television actor Prem Sai’s directorial debut, Tamilselvanum Thaniyaar Anjalum is finally complete and will have a release soon.

The film, which has been in the making for many years now, had many actors walking in and out of it. After actor Samantha, who was supposed to do the lead role, refused the role, it went to actor Abhinaya and Richa Gangopadhyay before it finally went to Bollywood actor Yami Gautham.

A single of the film, produced by Photon Kathaas, titled ‘Maya O Maya…’ was released on Thursday. Tamilslevanum Thaniyaar Anjalum is the ninth film produced by Photon Kathaas. The Telugu version is titled Courier Boy Kalyan .






Back to silver screen

Popular television anchor Ma.Ka.Pa. Anand will be seen again on the silver screen, thanks to ‘Navarasa Thilagam,’ a comedy flick directed by Kamran. The film is in the last stage of shooting.

While Srushti Dange will pair with Ma.Ka.Pa. Anand, actor Karunakaran has been roped in to add more spice to the movie. Music director Siddharth Vipin, who acted in ‘ Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara,’ is donning a role in the movie, besides scoring music for it.

The protagonist of the film is Moorthy, who wants to make a mark in the real estate business and strike it rich.

“But, all he manages to do is squander away his father’s money in the name of business,” said Kamran, who has also penned the story and screenplay.

The crew recently shot a song composed in folk style at locations including Tenkasi and Kutralam. The cast of the movie includes Jayaprakash and Meera Krishna.
