M.R.R. Vasu Sathish, grandson of veteran Tamil actor M.R. Radha, drowned in a swimming pool at a bungalow near Kundrathur on Friday evening. He was taking a dip while two of his friends were waiting outside the building in a car. When they later stepped in, they found him dead, police said.

Sources with the Kundrathur police said the incident took place around 6 p.m. at the bungalow located on Krishna Nagar 3rd street in Poonthandalam. The 44-year-old Sathish, who is the son of actor M.R.R. Vasu, was also a television actor and a part-time realtor.

The actor’s body was sent for post-mortem to the Government Chromepet hospital and handed over to his family on Saturday morning. He is survived by his wife Maheswari and three young daughters.
