VIT launches M.Tech. course for Cognizant staff

VIT University on Friday announced the launch of M.Tech. programme exclusively for Coginzant employees.

Sekar Viswanathan, pro-chancellor, VIT University, said the two year course in Software Development and Management will be offered to 180 employees from the company from the coming academic year.

The course syllabus has been arrived at after consultations between the company and the University, and the teachers will be drawn from Cognizant as well as from VIT, Mr. Viswanathan said.

Shankar Srinivasan, Chief People Officer, Cognizant, said the course has been designed to enhance skills of Cognizant employees.

G.V. Sampath, vice-president, VIT University, said there would be an option to complete the course over a four-year period for those who had pressing work requirements.
